Security and Privacy in Unified Communication

The use of unified communication; video conferencing, audio and instant messaging has skyrocketed during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, security privacy considerations have often been neglected. This article provides a comprehensive survey in Unified Communication (UC). We systematically analyze threats mitigations generic UC scenario. Based on this, we features major market leaders, draw conclusions overall landscape. While confidentiality communication channels is generally well protected through encryption, other properties are mostly lacking platforms.
